DOG FOOD / SKIN ALLERGIES
Different animals including Dogs from most of the breeds are found to be allergic to certain substances like mankind. Even hounds has these alergies. The most likely elements that generate allergic reactions to the Dogs may include foods, insect bites, inhaled substances as well as several vaccinations or particular drugs etc.

There may be some usual bacterial infection on their skins that are widely known as dermatitis, pyoderma or staph, of which the staph bacteria are most commonly found on the dog’s skin and its reactions may vary from apparent to deep wounds.

Though symptoms of different inhalant alergies may vary from dog to dog, but they could frequently be detected as irritating, continuous itching and discoloration of skins. Besides these, coughing, sneezing, wheezing and mucus discharge is also noticed commonly during allergic reactions in the dogs. While in the food alergic condition nausea, lethargy, vomiting and diarrhoea are commonly noticed.

There are various OTC products widely available for treating alergies. However, before choosing one, better consult the veterinary practitioner.
